Depending on where you will be living, the following coverage areas are available:

  • Worldwide
  • Worldwide excluding the USA (for residents of China, Hong Kong, Israel, Singapore, and the UK)
  • Worldwide excluding the USA (for residents of all other countries)

2.Advantages

  • These insurance policies are easy to maintain after returning to your country of origin, especially in the Netherlands and Belgium, and other countries upon request. They do not exempt you from any local insurance requirements in the Netherlands and Belgium. The advantage of maintaining international coverage with Allianz:
    1. No need for new medical acceptance if you plan to emigrate later.
    2. Free choice of healthcare provider, including for planned care outside your country of residence.
  • The Regions of cover are extensive, making this insurance particularly suitable for people who travel frequently and live internationally, as they are unlikely to encounter geographical restrictions. Within the insured region, you are free to choose where you receive medical treatment and are not limited to healthcare providers in your country of residence.
  • You may also plan and undergo treatment in another country within the selected coverage region. However, travel and accommodation expenses are at your own expense. An exception applies to the United States, where treatment must be obtained through a contracted healthcare provider.
  • Individuals who hold the nationality of their country of residence (local nationals) can also be insured. This means it is possible to include a foreign partner under the same policy.
  • You also benefit from the worldwide network of an experienced and well-established insurer.

Health Services Included:

  • Telehealth Services: Access to medical consultations via phone or video.
  • Expat Assistance Programme: Support services including counseling and legal advice.
  • Mind Coaching App: Tools to support mental well-being.
  • Fitness Coaching App: Personalized fitness plans and tracking.
  • Nutrition Hub: Dietary advice and meal planning.
  • Travel Security Services: Information and assistance for safe travel.

3.Important remarks

  • The insurance can be applied for by adults up to the age of 76.
  • The policy is automatically renewed each year and can only be amended or cancelled on the renewal date.
  • Maternity and childbirth benefits are included in the Core Plan and the Outpatient Plan. In addition to coverage for medical expenses, it is important to ensure that a newborn baby can be added to the policy with guaranteed acceptance. In this regard, Allianz does not offer the most favorable conditions. Please seek advice if you would like to learn more about health insurance options that provide comprehensive coverage for pregnancy and childbirth.
  • The insurance cannot be taken out if you reside in one of the following countries:
    • Brazil
    • Dubai (United Arab Emirates)

5.How to apply

Applying for your insurance is a straightforward process. Please follow the steps below:

1. Complete the Application Form

  • Download the application form (including the medical questionnaire) from this website.
  • A physical medical examination at the applicant's own expense applies to persons who are 70 years of age or older at the time of application.
  • Print the form and fill out all mandatory fields clearly.

2. Gather Required Documents

To process your application, we require a scan of:

  1. The completed and signed application form. All to be insured persons (exept minors) need to sign the application form.
  2. The passport/ID of every person to be insured.

3. Submit your Application

Email all documents to contact@johoinsurances.org. We will ensure your application is fast-tracked to the correct department.

4. What to expect next?

The insurance company’s medical board will review your questionnaire to determine coverage.

  • Assessment: They will decide on your acceptance and whether specific conditions (such as an exclusion or a premium supplement) apply.
  • Contact: If the medical board requires additional information, they will contact you directly.

6.Services after enrollment

For certain types of treatment, you must obtain prior authorization from the insurer before receiving treatment. If you undergo treatment without obtaining the required approval in advance, Allianz reserves the right to refuse reimbursement or only reimburse part of the costs.

This requirement does not apply to emergency or urgent medical situations. However, in such cases, the insurer must be contacted as soon as reasonably possible. Further information about the Treatment Guarantee process can be found in the Benefit Guide.

Submitting Claims

  • Claims can be submitted to Allianz through the MyHealth app or via the online member portal.
  • Claims can also be submitted easily using the Claim Form.
  • For most inpatient treatments, Allianz offers direct settlement arrangements with healthcare providers, meaning that the insurer pays the medical provider directly, reducing the need for the insured person to pay the costs upfront.
