Allianz Expat Protect is a specialized international health insurance plan designed for expatriates living in or coming from France, the Benelux countries (Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg), or Monaco.

Whether you are currently residing in one of these countries or relocating abroad from there, Expat Protect offers comprehensive international medical coverage.

Eligibility
Allianz Expat Protect is designed for individuals who meet the following criteria:

  • You are currently living in France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, or Monaco; or
  • You are relocating from one of these countries to live abroad as an expatriate.

  • Annual Maximum Benefit: €3,000,000
  • Hospital Room: Private room
  • Prescribed Drugs: Covered up to €50
  • Nursing at Home or Convalescent Home: Full coverage
  • Rehabilitation Treatment: Full coverage
  • Maternity Coverage: Included

Expat Protect Confort:

  • Annual Maximum Benefit: €1,500,000
  • Hospital Room: Semi-private room
  • Prescribed Drugs: Not covered
  • Nursing at Home or Convalescent Home: Covered up to €4,250
  • Rehabilitation Treatment: Covered up to €4,250
  • Maternity Coverage: Included

Optional Add-ons

  • Enhance your coverage with the following optional plans:
  • Out-patient Plan: Covers day-to-day medical expenses such as GP visits, specialist fees, diagnostic tests, vaccinations, and health checks.
  • Dental Plan: Coverage for dental treatments, surgeries, orthodontics, and more.
  • Repatriation Plan: If the required treatment isn't available locally, this plan covers repatriation to your home country for treatment.

Age limits

Allianz Expat Protect is available to:

  • Adults up to 70 years of age at the time of application.
  • There is no age limit for policy renewal once the insurance is in place and continuously maintained.
  • Children can be insured as dependents from birth, and standalone policies for minors may be available upon request (subject to underwriting approval).

Note: Age eligibility and benefits may be subject to underwriting criteria. Allianz reserves the right to request medical history and may apply exclusions or premium loadings based on assessed risk.

Restricted countries

This individual health insurance is at the moment NOT AVAILABLE if you are resident of one of the following countries:

  • Brazil
  • Dubai
  • Germany
  • Iran
  • Ireland
  • North Korea
  • Russia
  • Every sanctioned country

In some countries, a local health insurance is mandatory. An international private health insurance does not meet the requirements of a locally mandated health insurance.

4.Claims process

  • Direct Settlement: For most in-patient treatments, Allianz settles bills directly with the medical provider.

  • Reimbursement: Out-patient and dental treatments can be reimbursed by submitting a claim form.

  • Processing Time: Fully completed medical claims are processed within 48 hours.
